Bike Rack Thursday

Today they started delivering the bikes for the London Barclays Cycle Hire scheme, we've been watching it unfold for months on Hatton Garden at work. We're threatening to hire them then race to the next bike docking station....

On the bus Wednesday

Sometimes I like being on a packed bus when it means I can stand at the front. It makes me feel like a child pretending to drive

Pub Quiz Monday

The studio did the local pub quiz tonight, and a pretty respectable effort it was too. Well, we didn't lose. This is the extremely entertaining quiz master- reminiscent of a northern Simon Pegg.

Technically, this shot wasn't taken today. But, it's the result of me spending a couple of delighted hours playing with a brill new app that allows you to 'develop' your iPhone shots as if in a dark room. Gimmicky but fun and some cool effects.

Incidentally it's a shot of a wonderful old umbrella shop in the City. It smells good in there.

Street-art gifting Wednesday

Today Cameron apparently gave Obama a piece of art by my local street artist Eine. His work is all over my road. Funny to think a little piece of Shoreditch might hang in the White House.

On an unrelated note, Clerkenwell looked beautiful in today's glorious sun.

Monday. Nuff said.

Tiredness kicked in today big time. I've been passing this building in Shoreditch every day: it was an arts centre which is now condemned to make way for a gentrified art hotel housing a Banksy. Protestors have been camping out for a couple of weeks.

Lovebox Sunday

A funny, sunny, brilliant day with great music and a really nice atmosphere. Too many great shots to chose from but I like this one. Catalogue posing with cider, normal Sunday really.

Saturday when things didn't go to plan

Spent the day with the girls after some news that changed lots of things. We had wine, Kris baked cupcakes and I then went to lovebox for two hours with Richard and watched Empire of the Sun and Roxy Music.

The xx Tuesday

Another day, another gig. This time the beautifully understated xx playing Somerset House. Possibly one of the nicest gig venues you could wish for. The rain pretty much held off and the gig was intense - perfect way to spend a summer evening in London.

LOTF Monday

I love waking up at festivals and seeing the casualties of the night before. This lovely lady was smoking a cigarette and wandering around looking dazed in an animal costume, just before the heavy rain poured over the now almost empty site. 

LOTF Sunday

Another hard day of work for all of us, so we made the most of Sunday night with a visit to watch Toots and The Maytals and pay our respects to the banging dance tent. This is Jon and Marianna enjoying it, a LOT. I believe this was LCD Soundsystem being mashed up with Al Green. It was sweaty and fun.

LOTF Saturday

Making the most of a sunny break with the delightful Dee. Sofa and a parasol in a Kent field in front of a kinetic winged sculpture? That's totally normal.

LOTF Friday

Glorious sunshine, old friends, local cider and endless bands - what more could you want? A lovely Friday kicked off my three days of helping out at Lounge on the Farm music festival.

Ginger Cake-gate Monday

This is Abbie searching in earnest for her ginger cake from Friday that had DISAPPEARED. There was a lot of upset in the studio. Luckily there were emergency brownies.

Pre-festival Friday

My friend's warehouse is the biggest flat I've seen. We were told to bring roller skates, and we really should have. We ate dinner, played pool and went to the local pub. Perfect evening before Wireless festival.

Smithfields Thursday

While taking shots for a client of the city, I came across this rather cool piece of outdoor artwork in Smithfields. I wandered the lovely meat market where William Wallace was executed, it's got that strange feeling of when bustle dies down.
